The First Meeting Was a Success!

The Ruiz Library was very excited to host our beekeeping meeting on March 25th! Ten community members showed up for the first meeting, all but one a current beekeeper.

Several folks interested in how to start their Ag exemption for their properties.

Emmerson from Bee Weaver spoke about working as a queen breeder.

We agreed to join the state beekeeping association. ($50) We definitely want a lending library.

The organization now has 2 family memberships and 3 individual memberships. (7 total members for voting puposes.) Everyone is looking forward to the next meeting at our new downtown location – Twin Oaks Library off S. 5th.

See you in April!
